Eco-tots are a family run business selling anything from beautiful hand crafted wooden toys to reusable wipes and nappies. Eco-tots began after giving birth to my son in 2016, I had always tried to do my bit for the environment (recycling, buying second hand etc) then I met Rebecca at baby group and we soon became good friends, she introduced me to a car boot when a man sold fantastic wooden toys, most of them second hand too. Rebecca then introduced me to Grimms and the wooden toy groups on Facebook, and that’s when things really started to change for me. Me and my husband stopped buying new and plastic toys altogether and investigated imaginative play. Soon Rebecca came up with the idea of Blacks Toy’s and I wanted to work from home to spend more time with Henry. Thus, Eco-tots was born, and I had my first brand Blacks Toys. Since then my love for toys and being eco-friendly has grown massively. I actively seek out small UK businesses and WHAM/D (working at home mums and dads) as I believe we need to support our own economy, it reduces carbon footprints of the product and its nice to work with and support other families trying to do the same as me – spending more time with family while doing something they love.

Now we are in 2019, I have a daughter who has never had a baby wipe touch her peachy cheeks, she has a beautiful collection of wooden toys shared with her brother and I’ve made significant changes to reduce our plastic waste. Eco-tots is going strength to strength and has over 40 brands now and many more in the pipeline.Very excited to see what I will be writing a year from today.
