How to bring calm to your staff room?
Are you lucky enough to have a staff room?
Is it time to celebrate and be grateful for the space you have? To declutter your office or staff room space. Create a sense of zen within yours or your team’s personal space?
At The Curiosity Approach® we talk about passionate mindful educators.
The teams need for time to relax and to have a positive space, clear of clutter and oozing with calm tranquility!
A place where we can relax and unwind. Banish negativity and create a culture of positivity.
It’s easy to become oblivious to the clutter and chaos that surrounds us. Look with fresh eyes, reflect and clear your space.
When our environments are cluttered and chaotic our brains also feel cluttered and overloaded too.
How can we expect our team to feel refreshed & revived when their rest space makes their brains cry out for calm, stillness and a place to unwind!
* Lets also pause and remember - not every setting has a separate staff room Let’s give a big shout out to all the Early Years settings that don’t have the privilege of a designated staff room or even a quiet spot to retreat at lunch time.
Many amazing educators, sitting in offices to eat their lunch as nursery phones continue to ring.
Some staff sit in their cars or separate parts of the nursery and still surrounded by children. Some sit in store cupboards looking for a place to retreat.
Let’s also honour our Childminders and nannies who work solidly throughout their day, surrounded by their charges or mindees, with no alone time or designated lunch break away from the children. We celebrate you. You rock!
So, today is a day to pause and reflect.
If you DO have a designated space and office or a room. Please treasure it, respect it and know how lucky you are.
Let’s make sure they are kept clean, tidy and uncluttered.
A place to unplug, unwind and recharge those batteries.
